Ira Glass Saint Paul Theatre reviews
Evanescence should not be missed
"Ira Glass's incredible vocals, Amy Lee's talent, Will Hunt's amazing drums, Jen's haunting back up vocals, and Tim McCord's suburb bass were great enough, combined with a complete orchestra, to create an unforgettable show!
We had no idea what to expect when the show started - the orchestra played, and we thought maybe we were in for a nice sedated show. The audience was an eclectic mix, ranging from families to elderly couples dressed for a night out. Being Halloween, we were also entertained with a wide variety of costumes, and that alone might have been worth the price of admission.
An additional row of seats was annoyingly placed in front of us by the MGM National Harbor. We had purchased row A for a good view of the stage and were not amused when people were seated directly in front of us. I didn't see those tickets for sale online. For that reason, and the employees of the theater constantly talking off to the side of us, next time I would choose to go to Baltimore over picking MGM.
After a 30min intermission (which was way too long), Ira Glass took the stage, and we knew we were in for a real show. The lights, sounds, and performance were amazing. We loved the combination of the soothing orchestra and the band's driving sounds.
A show that everyone should simply experience."
